John Shoniker, BA, REBC

Vice President

John is responsible for leading the Integrated Solutions Division at People Corporation. John's role involves the integration of Group Benefit Consulting principles and product design and packaging. He is part of the Leadership Team at People Corporation.

John began his career in benefit consulting in 1996 with the Group Division of a large national Insurer. In 1998 John joined a national consulting firm, where he grew and developed the Benefit Consulting practice in Ontario to over 300 corporate Clients. John was promoted to Vice President in 2005, where he was responsible for both the marketing and operational functions of the business. In 2010, John joined People Corporation (formally Groupworks Financial) to lead the Integrated Solutions division.

John received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Waterloo in 1995, he is currently enshrined in the University of Waterloo Athletic Hall of Fame. John is a member of Advocis and The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP).

John is often called upon to speak to client groups regarding benefit trends and opportunities. John and his team operate out of the People Corporation office in Cambridge, Ontario.
